ChamTracker is a private, invite-only tool for sales appointment setters. Its Chrome extension records the Instagram direct-message conversations that you yourself open and view, and syncs them to your own ChamTracker account so your daily activity metrics can be computed automatically. This is the extension's single purpose.
When you install the extension it shows an in-extension disclosure screen describing exactly what it collects. No data is read or transmitted until you click to accept. You can review that disclosure again, or turn tracking off, at any time from the ChamTracker toolbar icon. If our data handling ever changes materially, the extension re-shows the updated disclosure and pauses collection until you accept the new version.
Personal communications — the content of the Instagram DM conversations you open while the extension is active: message text, which side sent each message, and the timestamps shown in the conversation.
— The conversation partner's name and @handle, so you can identify which lead each conversation belongs to.
— Your own Instagram @handle, so your metrics are attributed to the correct account.
— Authentication information: your account email address (and a password managed by Supabase Auth — we never see it), and a sync token that authorizes your extension to send data to your account.
— Operational metadata needed to run the sync (sync timestamps, capture counts).
Captured conversations are used for exactly one purpose: computing your own sales-activity metrics and reports. Message excerpts are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to classify conversation events (e.g. "call booked"). Data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties beyond the processors that host the service (Vercel for hosting, Supabase for storage/auth, Anthropic for classification).
Data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database hosted in the EU. Each account can only access its own data, enforced by row-level security. Data is retained until you delete your account. To delete your account and all associated data, email the address below and it will be removed within 30 days.
The extension never performs actions on Instagram — no clicking, posting, sending, following, or scrolling. It makes no requests to Instagram's servers. It only reads what you are already looking at, and only communicates with your own ChamTracker backend.
ChamTracker's collection and use of data from this Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data collected by the extension is used solely to provide the single user-facing purpose described above. It is not sold; it is not transferred to third parties except the processors needed to provide the service; it is not used for advertising; and it is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
